BRAND YOUR PROJECT

At New West, we've expanded our horizons. Our recent successes with larger scale projects made us realize that 15 years of hard work and listening to our clients has placed us in a unique position. We know how to add value to corporate and commercial projects. Whether it is a stunning centerpiece for a lobby, 30 custom lighting fixtures for a restaurant or 200 hundred totally unique beds for guest rooms, we can provide not only the custom furniture but also the creative input and design development to uniquely brand any project. As a matter of course, we work from architectural drawings or idea sketches or can provide creative input tailored to each project. A recent article put it best when it described New West as the "designer's designer." Let us show you why many industry professionals have already taken full advantage of the custom furniture that New West can offer.

THE DESIGNER'S DESIGNER

New West originated in 1986 and has enjoyed steady growth, now occupying the largest design workshop in the region. It has furnished homes, resorts, hotels and restaurants in virtually every state and a variety of foreign countries. New West has built a solid reputation for on-time, on-budget delivery of custom furniture to some of the largest hospitality and entertainment firms in the country. We've designed and executed commissions for individuals, design firms and major corporations including Robert A.M. Stern, The Rockwell Group, Luis Ortega, Hyatt, Marriot, and Warner Brothers. THE DESIGNER WITHIN

New West originated in the horse barn on Mike and Virginia Patrick’s home on the South Fork of the Shoshone. A fourth-generation Wyoming native, New West Co-Founder and CEO, J. Mike Patrick grew up on a large cattle ranch. Inspired by the famous Western designer Thomas Molesworth, a close family friend, Patrick began hand-crafting distinctive Western custom furniture in the early 1980's. Together with close friends Kendall Siggins and Jimmy Covert, Patrick founded the Western Design Conference and was chairman of the Western Design Institute for many years. Also native to Wyoming, Virginia contributed drafting and design skills enabling the team to effectively communicate visual concepts with their clients. She was company CFO for 15 years, in charge of ‘soft goods’, and often traveled to location to design ‘room scapes’ or prop ahead of professional photographers when the final project was ready for publication. In 1993 Matt and Venita Sheridan purchased New West. Devoted to New West’s reputation and clientele, the new owners proudly continue in the “Cody” style. Today New West consists of a small, closely knit team of eight full-time employees. In addition, New West continues to draw upon the spirit and creativity of local artists and craftsmen. The raw materials for most of New West’s products are indigenous to the Rockies. The company prides itself on unique design, meticulously crafted to individual client needs. Both SUNSET and MET HOME Magazine have picked New West as one of the nation's top 100 designers. ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST has featured both the company and its projects several times. New West's work has won multiple national awards for excellence and the classic "Anti-Gravity Table" is part of the permanent Decorative Arts collection at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming.
